Code of Conduct for Under 18's

Draycott & Hanbury Cricket Club (D&H CC) is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members.

D&H CC believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents/carers or guardians associated with the Club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.

Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club directly with the Chairman Mr. Allen Clark, the Club Safeguarding Officer, Mrs. Julie Wells, or through their team manager.

D&H CC has a long and proud history in local cricket. You are expected to maintain its traditions of courteous behaviour and fair play by abiding by the following junior code of conduct:

  • All members must play within the laws and spirit of the game and treat opponents with respect.
  • They must respect officials and accept umpires' decisions without dissent.
  • All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
  • They should be courteous to all Club members and visitors to the Club.
  • Members should keep to agreed timings for training and matches or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late or unavailable.
  • Members must wear suitable kit and protective equipment for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach/team manager.
  • Members must pay any fees for training or matches promptly.
  • Junior members are not allowed to smoke or vape on Club premises or whilst representing the Club at competitions.
  • Junior members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the Club premises or whilst representing the Club.
